Benefits of using TradeFlows

Transparency, certainty and collaboration.

We are a technology product that is built for solving problems related to commercial experiences. Our team and partners are always keen on discussing how web3 techniques like tokenomics and smart contracts can help you build great experiences within your commercial workflows.

Our primary tool for decentralised commerce is our core protocol which is designed as a backbone that leverages off some of the most standardised tools of the web3 ecosystem, but does so in customised ways that offer:

  • Immutable and trackable states of agreements in order to mitigate disputes over whether if agreements / trades have been agreed or when they where agreed

  • Streaming or bullet cashflows automatically generated to match an agreement's payment terms in order to streamline processes for payments and in so doing, creating more certainty around settlements

  • Fully or semi-collateralised escrows that feed the payment streams in order for sellers to see that funds are available; as well as for buyers to have easy access to their escrowed funds in case they need to increase or withdraw funds

Standardisation

We strongly believe in not reinventing wheels but we do believe in making them rounder. Our protocol has enhanced web3 standards in the following ways:

  • ERC721 / NFTs are used to encapsulate trade agreement terms. The agreement terms are minted into an NFT and counterparts agree to the terms through on-chain custom functions

  • ERC20 / Tokens are used for payments but this standard has been heavily customised to enable:

    • Streaming payments

    • Streaming pausing / unpausing

    • Escrows that feed the streams

    • Fully transparent ability to increase / decrease escrows by payers

    • Ability to assign a token balance to an NFT or address / token id pair

  • ERC1155 Tokens are used as interfaces to engage with escrow accounts automatically generated after a payment stream is opened.

The next section goes deeper into the customisations of the standards.
